Aegis Senior Fraud Defense is developed and operated by DF Heat Labs LLC. We are committed to protecting the privacy and independence of older adults and their families.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Aegis operates on a zero-credential security architecture. We do not collect, request, transmit, or store:

• Social Security numbers or government ID numbers.
• Bank account numbers, routing numbers, or payment card details.
• Online banking usernames, passwords, or PINs.

2. On-Device Document Scanning & Analysis

When you use the scanner to evaluate suspicious mail, bills, or checks, image processing and optical character recognition (OCR) are performed on-device. Images and extracted text are not sold, shared with data brokers, or used for commercial advertising.

3. Evidence Dossier Export

The Evidence Snapshot PDF is generated locally on your device. You maintain sole custody and control over this report. It is only shared when you deliberately send it to a trusted caregiver, legal proxy, Older Adult Protective Services (OAPS), or law enforcement.

4. Helplines & Third Parties

The app provides directory shortcuts to established public helplines (such as the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging and Pennsylvania Department of Aging). Placing a call connects you through your standard cellular carrier under your carrier's terms.

6. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Aegis Senior Fraud Defense is an automated educational screening application operated by DF Heat Labs LLC.

• No Legal or Professional Advice: The assessments, text extractions, and summaries provided do not constitute legal, accounting, tax, or professional investigative advice.
• No Warranty of Accuracy: Scam schemes change constantly. A safe or low-risk assessment is not a legal guarantee of legitimacy. Users must verify suspicious solicitations independently.
